Travel Trailer Update

We recently bought a used Travel Trailer which I wanted to update.  So here I have the before and after pictures, along with some in-betweens.  

We knew we'd have some water damage problems because of this baby here.  We just didn't realize how much.

With my gloves and face mask on I went at all of the obvious water damaged areas.  I ended up ripping out the entire corner and dousing it with bleach to kill any mold.  If you look close you can see the hole to the outside.

After the bleach dried out I added new insulation, new boards, and new trim.  I also replaced the metal panel piece outside where the hole is.

These are the paint colors I chose.  The yellow is like a buttermilk yellow.

I painted the cabinets with the green olive color.  Then I glazed them with a walnut stain.  The hardware needed to be scuffed up with a wire brush, then it was spray painted with the Rustoleum Oil-Rubbed Bronze color.

Before

Measure, cut, sand, and nail in the dividers.  Paint and cover with 4 or 5 coats of Polyurethane Finish.

Change out the chalk board sayings throughout the year.

Bathroom Mirror Frame

What you'll need:

-Moulding to cover the outer edges of your mirror (mine was about 10')

-liquid nails

-wood putty

-nail gun

-compressor

-miter saw

-sand paper

-stain

-level

Remove the plastic pieces holding your mirror and replace them with washers one by one.  You can use the same screws.  

Measure and trim your Moulding with the Miter saw at 45 degree angles.  Sand and smooth off each corner with the sand paper.  Stain your wood as dark as you please and let it dry.

  Apply liquid nails to the back of each piece of wood.  Using a level; stick the pieces of wood onto your mirror one by one.  Using your compressor and nail gun shoot a nail in each end of each board to hold it up while the liquid nails dry.  Don't put too many nails. 

 Putty up the nail holes and the corners.  Sand the putty down and touch up with stain where needed.  And you're done.
